Quick answer
The KEYLOCKER Collector's Edition is a pre-order release that bundles the turn-based cyberpunk action game with exclusive physical extras, shipping September 28th, 2026. If you're a fan of rhythm-driven JRPGs and collectible packaging, this edition offers strong value at $26.99.
What makes this edition special
KEYLOCKER is a cyberpunk turn-based rhythm JRPG where you play as B0B0, a singer and songwriter. Combat uses real-time execution of moves in rhythm game style, blending traditional turn-based strategy with music-fueled mechanics. The Collector's Edition is designed for players who want more than just the game disc or download code—it's a physical tribute to the game's world and characters.
The pre-order status means you're committing to a future release. Shipping is expected September 28th, 2026, so you'll need to plan for a wait. This is common for collector's editions, but it's a factor to weigh if you prefer immediate access to a game.
Trade-offs to consider
Because this is a pre-order, the exact contents of the Collector's Edition are based on what's announced at the time of your order. The catalog description highlights the game's unique mechanics and the ability to choose a class, battle authorities, unlock Saturn's secrets, and play in your own band—but physical items beyond the game itself are not fully itemized in the listing.
If you're a collector who values knowing exactly what's in the box before buying, this uncertainty might be a drawback. However, the $26.99 price point (compared to a $44.99 catalog price) suggests you're getting a significant discount for pre-ordering, which can offset the risk.
Decision rules for buying the KEYLOCKER Collector's Edition
- Pre-order timing: If you want the game as soon as it ships, pre-order now. Shipping is expected September 28th, 2026. If you can't wait, consider a standard digital version if available later. Check the exact ship date before ordering to avoid disappointment.
- Gameplay preference: If you enjoy rhythm games or turn-based JRPGs with a twist, this is a strong pick. The real-time rhythm execution is a core mechanic, so if you dislike rhythm-based inputs, this might not be for you. Watch gameplay videos to confirm the rhythm combat suits your taste.
- Collector's value: At $26.99, the Collector's Edition is priced lower than the catalog comparison price, suggesting good value for physical extras. If you're a collector who wants exclusive packaging and items, this is a low-risk purchase. Compare the contents with standard editions to ensure the extras justify the price.
